SKIN1004 Water-Fit Sun Serum vs. Sun Serum UV: check this before you compare prices
Correction, 17 September 2026. An earlier version of this page said the same 50ml SKIN1004 sunscreen cost $9.70 at one store and $26.00 at another. That comparison was wrong. The two listings are not the same product, and we should have caught it before publishing. We took the page down on 8 September 2026 and are replacing it with what we found. Details below.
Sunscreen looked like the easiest category on this site to compare. Every Korean sunscreen we track ships in 50ml, so there is no per-millilitre correction to make and no bundle to unpick. Then the widest price gap in our whole dataset turned up inside it, and it turned out not to be a price gap at all.
Two listings, one product name — almost
The product is SKIN1004's Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum. Here is what the two listings we compared actually say. We checked both on 8 September 2026.

The two ingredient lists share no UV filter. Same brand, same line, same size, same tube shape in the photos — and a two-letter suffix that we skimmed past. The word "UV" at the end of the Olive Young US name is doing all the work.
We're not going to tell you why the two versions exist, or which one is better. We didn't check that and it isn't what this site does. What we can say is narrower and more useful: a price for the Sun Serum UV is not a price for the Sun Serum, and we no longer count it as one.
What that does to the comparison
On this site, the Olive Young US listing now shows as "not sold at this store" with a note, because the product we track — the one YesStyle lists — isn't what that store sells under this name. The price gap we headlined has gone, because it was never a gap between two prices of one thing.
As of 14 October 2026, the Sun Serum (without UV) is $9.70 at Stylevana and $10.00 at YesStyle — a 3.1% spread, not 168%.
One more caveat, because it would be dishonest to leave it out: the Stylevana listing carries the name without "UV" and does not publish an ingredient list. We treat it as the same version YesStyle sells, on the strength of the name and the SPF50+ PA++++ rating shown. If you need certainty about which version ships, that's a question for the seller, not for us.
The rest of the category
Of the 4 sunscreens we track, 1 is priced identically at two stores right now. The widest gap among them is 106.2%.

This is the same pattern we find everywhere else on the site: most products cluster within a few dollars, and the outliers are the ones worth a second look. Here the outlier turned out to be a listing difference, not a bargain. Both are worth knowing before you pay.
What to check before you compare two sunscreen listings
- Read the whole product name, including the end. "UV", "EX", "Plus", a year — a short suffix can mean a different formula. If one store's name has it and another's doesn't, stop and look closer.
- Compare the ingredient list, not the description. For sunscreen, the UV filters are the part that changes. A US-style "Drug Facts" panel and a Korean-style full ingredient list are easy to tell apart once you've seen both.
- If the store doesn't list ingredients, you don't know which version you'll get. Ask the seller, or buy from a store that does list them.
