Free shipping thresholds at YesStyle, Stylevana and Olive Young US — and what each one actually buys
Not one of the products we track qualifies for free shipping on its own.
Three stores, three free-shipping thresholds. They look close enough to ignore. They aren't.
Every K-beauty store advertises free shipping over some amount. Three stores, three amounts, and the numbers look close enough to ignore: $35.00 at YesStyle, $48.00 at Stylevana, and $35.00 at Olive Young US.
They are not close. They don't even buy the same thing.
First, the number that decides everything
Of the 30 products we track, the cheapest price we've recorded ranges from $9.70 to $28.00, with a median of $17.52.
Not one of them reaches any store's free-shipping threshold on its own.
That single fact reorganises the whole question. If you buy one thing, you pay shipping — everywhere, always, no matter which store you pick. On a median item, that fee adds about 35.6% to what you actually pay. The comparison you should be running isn't "which store is cheapest for this product", it's "what else am I buying, and does it get me over the line".
Two median-priced items come to about $35.05. That clears the free-shipping bar at 2 of our three stores and misses it at the rest.
What each threshold actually buys
| Store | Free at | Method that's free | Transit estimate (store's own figure) | Fee if you don't reach it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| YesStyle | $35.00 | Standard | 7-11 working days | $6.00 |
| Stylevana | $48.00 | Premium Express | 4-9 business days | $5.79 |
| Olive Young US | $35.00 | Standard | up to 5 business days | $6.95 |
Read the delivery column, not the dollar column. YesStyle and Olive Young US both ask for $35.00, and what you get for it is not the same service at all: one arrives in up to 5 business days, the other in 7-11 working days. Free shipping at YesStyle means the slow method. Its fast method is free too — starting at $149.00, which is roughly 9 of the products we track.
Stylevana inverts this. Its threshold is the highest of the three, but what it unlocks is the faster of its two services, not the slower one. Its standard shipping never becomes free at any order value — spending more doesn't remove that fee, it replaces it with a better one.
Three footnotes worth knowing before you plan a cart. YesStyle states that its arrival estimate is product availability plus shipping time combined — the transit figure in the table above is shipping time only, so a backordered item takes longer than the table implies. Stylevana ships from Hong Kong and each product page carries its own stock status, which adds processing time on top of the transit estimate above. Olive Young US applies the same threshold and fee to Alaska and Hawaii, at up to nine business days instead of five, and ships orders one to two business days after they're placed.
The part that looks like a finding but isn't
We ran our price data through those shipping rules for a one-item order. The cheapest store changes for 14 of the 30 products we can compare across more than one store.
That sounds dramatic. It isn't. The three stores' cheapest shipping fees sit within about $1.16 of each other, so on a single item the "winner" flips on a sum smaller than sales tax. Most of those flips are ties in product price being broken by a few cents of shipping — which is a rounding artefact, not a reason to shop somewhere.
We're reporting it because it's the honest shape of the data: once shipping is included, a one-item comparison stops being meaningful. The number is real; the conclusion people would draw from it would not be.
How to actually use this
- Decide the order, then the store. With nothing we track clearing a threshold alone, the store that's cheapest for your whole basket is a different question from the store that's cheapest for one bottle — and it's the only one worth asking.
- Round up to the threshold if you were going to buy the second item anyway. Adding a $17.52 item to reach $35.00 costs you less than paying the fee twice on two separate orders.
- Don't round up to reach the higher bar for speed. Paying more to unlock free express is only worth it if you'd have paid for express regardless.
- Check the delivery estimate before the threshold. Two very different waits can both be "free". If the wait matters, the cheaper landed cost may be the worse deal.
What we do with this on the site
Every product page shows each store's shipping terms next to its price, rather than a price alone. A price without its shipping terms isn't a number you can act on, and the whole point of this site is numbers you can act on. How we check prices →
Shipping terms above were read from each store's own shipping page on 17 September 2026, not from homepage banners — a banner can be a promotion. Stores change these without notice.
