Do K-beauty prices change weekly? What 3 weeks of tracking YesStyle, Stylevana and Olive Young US showed
·
Same 30 products, three stores, eight checks between 4 and 24 September 2026. Nearly four in ten prices moved at least once — but the three stores behave nothing alike, and that difference is the useful part.
In September 2026 we tracked 30 K-beauty products at three stores that ship to the US: YesStyle, Stylevana and Olive Young US (iHerb was added in October, after the period this guide covers). Between 4 and 24 September 2026 we recorded every price eight times, by opening each product page and writing down what it said. That's 79 prices (not every product is sold at all three stores) over 20 days.
The short version: 29 of the 79 prices changed at least once. But "prices change" isn't really the finding. The finding is that each store changes prices in its own way — and once you know the way, you know when to wait and when to buy.
The three stores, side by side
| Store | Prices tracked | Changed at least once | Total changes | Typical move | Biggest move |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stylevana | 31 | 19 | 38 | 8.5% | −33% |
| YesStyle | 27 | 8 | 14 | 25% | +40% |
| Olive Young US | 21 | 2 | 2 | 5.6% | −5.6% |
"Typical move" is the median size of a single change, ignoring direction. Eight checks: 4, 6, 9, 14, 17, 18, 21 and 24 September.
Stylevana: always moving, mostly in small loops
Stylevana changed something at almost every check — 4 changes on 6 September, 11 on the 14th, 7 on the 17th, 14 on the 24th. Nineteen of its 31 prices moved at least once. If Stylevana is the only store you watch, yes, prices change weekly.
But look at how they move. The dominant shape is a dip and a return:
- COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence: $20.00 → $16.25 (17 Sept) → $20.00 (24 Sept)
- d'Alba White Truffle First Spray Serum: $22.00 → $18.00 (14 Sept) → $22.00 (17 Sept)
- Abib Gummy Sheet Mask: $32.00 → $28.00 (14 Sept) → $32.00 (17 Sept)
- VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 100: $27.65 → $24.58 (17 Sept) → $27.65 (24 Sept)
Eight Stylevana prices did this in three weeks: down 6–19%, then back to the same list price within a check or two. In every case the price came back to exactly where it started. What rotates is which products are on promotion this week.
There's a second, smaller pattern: prices that wobble by a dollar or less and never settle. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask showed seven different prices in eight checks, all between $10.89 and $12.30. Laneige Water Sleeping Mask flickered between $16.59 and $16.66. Seven of Stylevana's 38 changes were under 5%. We don't know the cause — it looks like currency conversion rather than a decision about the product — and it isn't worth timing a purchase around.
YesStyle: rarely moves, but by a lot, and brand-wide
YesStyle changed prices on only three of the eight checks — 9, 17 and 24 September. Only 8 of its 27 prices moved at all. But when it moves, the median change is 25%, three times Stylevana's.
The reason is that YesStyle's cuts come in brand batches. On 9 September, all four Anua products we track dropped at once, by 11 to 25% — the PDRN Hyaluronic Capsule 100 Serum went from $28.00 to $21.00, the Niacinamide 10 + TXA 4 Serum from $22.00 to $16.50. On 17 September, all four were back at their old prices. The same thing happened a week later with two other brands: mixsoon Bean Essence $24.50 → $17.50 (17 Sept) → $24.50 (24 Sept), and Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream $19.20 → $14.70 (17 Sept) → $19.20 (24 Sept).
Six of the seven YesStyle price cuts we saw were reversed by the next check or the one after; the seventh happened on our last check, so it's too early to say. The cuts are real — 11 to 29% off a list price that otherwise sits still — but they last about a week.
Two YesStyle changes were not loops. Abib Gummy Sheet Mask went from $28.00 to $32.00 on 9 September and stayed there: a plain price increase, which put it level with Stylevana. Some By Mi AHA-BHA-PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner went from $17.55 to $16.80 on 24 September; we'll know next week whether that's a dip or a new price.
Olive Young US: two changes in three weeks
Olive Young US changed exactly two prices in 20 days, both on 14 September, both Round Lab: 1025 Dokdo Toner $15.30 → $14.45 and 1025 Dokdo Cleansing Oil $20.69 → $19.54, each −5.6%. Both held through 24 September. The other 19 prices we track there did not move once.
For a shopper this makes Olive Young US the reference point. Its price is what the product costs when nobody is running a promotion.
What this means when you're buying
The cheapest store is not a fixed fact. For 16 of our 30 products, the cheapest place to buy changed at least once in three weeks — usually because YesStyle and Stylevana were tied at list price and one of them ran a dip. For 6 products the lead actually switched from one store to the other. mixsoon Bean Essence is the clearest case: on 17 September YesStyle had it at $17.50 against Stylevana's $26.25; on 24 September Stylevana had it at $17.50 against YesStyle's $24.50. Same product, same week, the two stores swapped places and the gap was $7–9 either way. A comparison you did last week is out of date.
A YesStyle or Stylevana sale price is a real discount, but a short one. In these three weeks we didn't see either store raise a list price before cutting it — the list prices sat still and the sale prices dipped below them. So the discount is measured against something real. It just won't be there next week. If a product you were going to buy anyway is at a dip, that's the moment; if you're waiting for it to go lower, so far it goes back up instead.
If you missed the dip, another one is probably coming — at the other store. YesStyle ran Anua, then mixsoon and Beauty of Joseon. Stylevana ran COSRX, VT and Beauty of Joseon in a different week. The calendars don't line up, which is why checking both before checkout is worth the thirty seconds.
Olive Young US prices you can plan around. If Olive Young US is within a couple of dollars of the other two stores' list price, there's little reason to wait for a dip elsewhere — unless shipping thresholds change the math. See our free shipping thresholds guide for that.
What we don't know yet
Twenty days is short. We don't know whether the dips repeat on a schedule, whether the same products come back onto promotion, or how often a cut turns out to be permanent. Our checks in this window were one to five days apart, so a promotion shorter than that could be missed entirely. Shipping isn't included in any of these numbers. And Stylevana's small wobbles may be currency, not pricing — we've noted them without drawing conclusions.
We'll revisit this with two months of data. The monthly summary is at September 2026 price report, and every product page shows the current three-store price with the date we last checked it.
