If you buy Korean skincare from outside Korea, you've probably noticed the same product showing up at very different prices across YesStyle, Stylevana, and Olive Young Global. Here's how they actually differ, based on tracking prices across all three.

YesStyle: biggest catalog, coupon-dependent pricing

YesStyle carries the widest range — if a product exists, it's probably listed here. The catch: sticker prices are rarely the real price. YesStyle pricing revolves around stacked coupon codes and membership tiers, so the effective price depends on whether you apply the current code at checkout.

Buy here when: you're ordering several items at once, or the product is niche enough that other stores don't stock it.

Watch out for: prices that look high until coupons are applied, and shipping cost that depends heavily on which method you pick at checkout.

Stylevana: aggressive sales, volatile prices

Stylevana runs the most aggressive discounts of the three — individual products regularly drop 20–40% during flash sales. That also means prices swing a lot: the same essence can be the cheapest option this week and the most expensive next week.

Buy here when: the product is on one of its deep sales. This is exactly what price tracking is for — a Stylevana "sale" price is sometimes just the normal price elsewhere.

Watch out for: shipping-time variance by region, and sale prices that revert without notice.

Olive Young Global: the official channel

Olive Young is Korea's dominant beauty retailer, and Olive Young Global is its official international store. List prices tend to be higher than the other two, but it runs frequent brand-week promotions, and for some Korea-exclusive or freshly launched products it's the only place stocking them internationally.

Buy here when: you want the newest releases, official-retailer assurance, or its promo week covers the brand you're buying — and you're ordering from outside the U.S.

Watch out for: paying list price outside promo periods — that's usually the most expensive way to buy any given item.

So which one is cheapest?

It changes week to week — that's the honest answer, and it's why we built a tracker instead of a static list. A few patterns hold up though:

1. Never pay list price at any of the three. Something is always on promotion somewhere.
2. Compare the landed cost, not the item price. A $2 cheaper essence isn't cheaper if it puts you below a free-shipping threshold.
3. Sale labels are relative. "40% off" from an inflated base price can still be more expensive than a competitor's everyday price. Price history is the only way to tell.
