Olive Young Global vs Olive Young US: what changed for US shoppers
Olive Young split in two. If you're in the US, you're shopping a different store now.
For years, "Olive Young" meant one thing to anyone buying Korean skincare from abroad: the Global site, shipping Korea's biggest beauty retailer to your door. That is no longer true if you live in the United States. There are now two Olive Youngs, and which one you get depends on where the parcel is going.
The shipping list says it plainly
We opened Olive Young Global's shipping-location selector on 2026-09-03 and read the whole list. It offers 62 destinations — Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, Singapore, most of Europe.
The United States is not on it.
What is on it is the odd part: American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and the Northern Mariana Islands are all still served. So Olive Young Global will ship to a US territory, but not to any of the fifty states.
Meanwhile the new US store, us.oliveyoung.com, is the mirror image. Its shipping
page states it delivers to the contiguous 48 states plus Alaska and Hawaii — and explicitly
not to US territories, not internationally, and not to PO boxes or APO/FPO
addresses.
Put together, the two stores divide the map without overlapping. If you're in Ohio, the US store is your only Olive Young. If you're in Guam, it's the Global one. Neither site tells you this; you find out at the address field.
Reports elsewhere date the US shipping change to late May 2026. We can confirm what the sites do today, not when they started doing it.
The catalogue is not the same catalogue
This is where it costs you something. The US store carries a curated selection rather than Korea's full lineup, and the differences are not small:
- COSRX is on the US store — the Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence was $20.90 when we checked.
- None of the 5 products we track from Beauty of Joseon are carried at Olive Young US.
We also track single products from Isntree, VT Cosmetics, Abib and Some By Mi that aren't stocked here.
If a brand you buy from Korea isn't in the US store's list, moving to it isn't a downgrade in price — it's a dead end, and you'll need one of the other retailers.
Shipping, side by side
| Comparison | Olive Young US | Olive Young Global |
|---|---|---|
| Ships to the 50 states | Yes | No |
| Ships to US territories | No | Yes |
| Catalogue | Curated US selection | Korea's fuller lineup |
Olive Young Global's shipping cost and delivery time vary by destination and it publishes no single figure, so we've left those out rather than estimate. Olive Young US charges $6.95, free over $35, arriving in up to five business days (nine for Alaska and Hawaii).
What this actually means for your cart
- Check which Olive Young you're on before you compare prices. A Global price is not a price you can pay from a US address, and a price you can't pay isn't a comparison.
- The US store's $35 free-shipping bar is low — lower than Stylevana's $48. For a two-item order that difference can outweigh a few dollars of product price.
- If your brand isn't carried, stop there. Availability decides before price does.
We track prices at the US store, not Global, for exactly this reason: our readers are shopping for US delivery, and a number you can't act on is worse than no number at all.
